Oct. 28th, 2012 02:44 pm[ celty doesn't normally think too much about the things shinra says. he's always lacked whatever brain-to-mouth filter normal people have that stops them from blurting out stupid things, so she tends to shrug it off. but for all his usual perversion and declarations of love, saying something like, "for starters, you could marry me," and then later acting like that was a formal marriage proposal she had accepted - well, it had thrown her.
and she couldn't stop thinking about it. she hadn't even told anyone about it yet, but somehow it stuck in her mind, and she'd realised that if shinra really did want to get married, she didn't know what to do, and it would just be embarrassing to approach him about those things. should she do her own research? even if they're not getting married tomorrow, she can't put it off forever, right? it's going to happen someday and she'll have to know what she's doing. should she be prepared so that when it really does happen, she doesn't panic? does she need a plan?
she realises very quickly that she's hopeless at this and needs help, so she runs through her short list of friends - shizuo, absolutely not. mikado had gang troubles and his friends to worry about. castiel wouldn't know, and lancer didn't approve of shinra. ... as a hypothetical bride-to-be, shouldn't she have a girl to share her thoughts with, anyway?
that's how she ends up frantically texting homura with a cry for help.
celty is sitting on her motorbike, parked at the curb outside of a wedding dress shop, and she types up a message to homura in greeting. ]
